When will the Note Edge be available from Verizon???? How about a date? Surely more than three weeks since it released in the US (per WSJ), you would at least know a date for release?
If you want the phone that bad switch. Otherwise you would wait patiently like everone else. Call Samsung and ask them where it is. It's their phone.
it's possible that they won't carry it. i don't expect the edge to sell very well so they may just skip it all together. just a guess.
GregBott I understand wanting to know all the info! However there isn't any details regarding the availibility of the device. For the latest info, sign up for email updates at http://bit.ly/dDumph AshleyS_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
I don't see them carrying it. It's basically a worse version of the Note 4.
it just recently passed through fcc so it should be soon GregBott
Doesn't mean anything. Thousands of devices go through the FCC and never go where they're intended too. They're just testing it.
If you go to the Samsung website and drill down on Verizon Cell phones you will see the black version of the Edge. So....my bet is that it will hit the shelf once they've sold enough of their other stock (like the Note 4) first. This is being driven by supply and demand. I'm waiting too and my Note 3 with 4.4.4 is doing just fine:-)
I have been bothering Verizon sales and account reps everyday for about 2 months, I have also contacted almost everyone from Verizon's media contacts page, including the people over devices, product strategy, and the regional managers for Colorado. I even received a call from someone claiming to be a district manager more than a week ago, but they are all playing stupid and claim they don't know anything. The most I can get out of anyone is that the phone needs time for testing before its release, which is probably true, but I am sure At&t, T-Mobile and Sprint test their phones too, and they all managed to release the phone on time on November 14th. I think it comes down to wanting to push the new Droid Turbo for the holidays, since that is a Verizon exclusive. Everyone else that responded basically said it will be out when its out, stop bothering us, which is no way to treat your customers.
The sales reps are now saying Samsung has not released the phone to them, and its their fault they don't have it yet, which I do not believe, as I have also contacted Samsung, and they claim Verizon has it already, but they cannot force them to release it. The webpage with the contact information is below, I think we should all keep bothering them until they either release the phone, or at least give us a release date, they owe their customers that much. This phone is not a secret anymore, I don't understand Verizon's reluctance to give us any information beyond the opt-in page listed by the rep in another comment.
I have been with Verizon for nearly 10 years, and they are the worst when it comes to releasing new devices and updates. I get a discount at At&t through work, I might be taking my 5 lines over to them after this horrible experience.

What updates? The only thing I received after signing up was an email saying "The device you want is coming soon"
You guys have really messed up the launch of this phone
I feel like they really may not have a date yet. The Samsung Note 4 had just came out on 10/23/14 (which was late from when it was supposed to come out in America). I think they are going to wait until the hype comes off that phone before realising another one. I think it is a bad business desision to realise another phone right after the people just bought their new Notes. They would have a lot of people upset (verses just one, who hasn't bought a new phone yet). If you want the new phone then you have to hang in there until the phone comes out (if they even decide to sell it). You cannot get mad at a company that is still waiting to make the decision for the launch date. It would be cool to have the new Note phone (I am a samsung user myself), but we all need to wait our turn.
As for MVL, If you get sick of waiting, you get the Note 4, or you can leave and go to AT&T. I promise your coverage will not be as good. Also, If your discount is really that good then then why are with Verizon for 10 years. I think you know AT&T is not a good company!
Verizon is 3 weeks late to release this phone, and their complete lack of information is what is making so many people mad. They have handled this launch very poorly, and I feel they deserve to be called out for it. It has also been 6 weeks now since the Note 4 was released, all the people that had to have that phone have probably already bought it, and those of us that that want the Note Edge waited, so I don't see the harm in releasing it now. Verizon sure didn't have a problem releasing the Droid Turbo just a week after the Note 4, so your theory about it being bad business to release another device so soon doesn't really hold up.
As for not leaving for At&t, you are right, I have heard horror stories about them and am reluctant to switch, but then again, Verizon doesn't have the best reputation either, so its basically a choice of one evil corporation over another. I also get a discount on my Verizon service, and switching is a hassle. However, I can almost guarantee At&t will have better coverage at my house, as I don't get any Verizon coverage at home, even though I am within 2 miles of downtown Denver, and I had to get a network extender just to send and receive calls and texts.
there have been phones in the past that verizon completely passes up, and others that they launch months later. i understand that when you want a certain device and they don't immediately offer it, it's frustrating. however, i'm just letting you know that this is fairly typical of verizon. just look at the nexus right now.
I disagree with you. It does hold up. The Turbo is a Motorola phone not a galaxy. That is what makes my arguement make more since. If they bring out 1 Motorola phone and then bring out another one a few weeks later then I would make the same point. Would say it is not ok to bring out the new Iphone 6 then the Note 4. It is the same concept. Different companies make it, so it has a different fan base.
As far as with your AT&T statement, It is a whole hassel to switch and if you think it is going to better coverage in your house to switch, then take the time to do it. Go were you think will be the best value. Clearly you think that is Verizon, that is why you put out all the money to get the network extender.
The Motorola Moto X was released on 9/26 for Verizon, the Motorola Droid Turbo came out 5 weeks later on 10/30. If Verizon wanted to kept the same time between the Note 4 and Note Edge release dates, then the Edge should have been released last week on November 27th.
I did not pay for the network extender, when I called to cancel my service, they offered it for free to keep my business.
According to this website. Verizon Wireless is going to have it soon:
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge launching in U.S. on November 14, will hit all major carriers [UPDATED] | PhoneDog
This is a JOKE! You can get this phone on AT&T and Sprint but not Verizon? Please stop with this crap about not selling, people will pay the $399 to get it so then need to get off there lazy butts and make it happen! I don't see it coming to Verizon until next year so debating on getting the Note 4 because I don't want to wait
What is the joke? If you do not want to wait for the phone, then chose a different or move to a carrier that already has it.....I guess I am missing the joke??
Old man it is a JOKE when other carriers have the phone out! People will pay the steep price for it and they need to have it available ASAP. I remember when the Iphone came out and it was expensive but you saw records sales for it
I've decided to tell myself Verizon is late on this because they are gonna release it with lollipop. It makes the wait tolerable. :smileyhappy:
Verizon isn't releasing it yet because they don't care. If you want the phone buy it on the playstore or go to another carrier. Problem solved. If you don't do that you don't want it that bad
Thank you spoiler1041, for being positive. I think Verizon only wants to sell the best, so you may be right about the update point you made.
For ynggrsshppr91: If they just buy the phone with an another carrier or going online to get an unlocked one, then what would they have to wine about. They are just going to wait and stay with Verizon. It is one of the better companies.
This is history proving itself again... Verizon has always been late to the game with the Note devices. Is it a Samsung and Verizon thing? who knows except them. Maybe bloatware takes time to build, test and install?? We can probably come up with a 1000 reasons as to why this is delayed and not any will make to sense to all. I too am waiting impatiently for this device, but I do have a 2nd choice and that would be me leaving Samsung (which I don't want to) but the Sony Experia Z3 looks impressive and doesn't have a ton of reviews but the ones Ive read, everyone has been very pleased with it.
