Problems with LG3

Any advise would be appreciated.
Love the LG3 when it works. Had for a month now....first few weeks were good. Now the phone freezes several times per day to the point that you need to power it down. This includes on the lock screen when it hasn't been in use. Some apps that worked without any glitches on my Samsung Galaxy now freeze and go to a black screen on the LG3 have to power it down. for the past week the phone battery has been draining fast and the phone is hot. I use the battery saver. Had to install another app to monitor the cpu heat and the apps running in the background. The power button actually gets hot to touch. Actually have less apps on the LG3 than I had on my Samsung Galaxy because I didn't install the aps I never used.....never had this problem with the galaxy. Actually thinking about reactiviting it which is sad since its the Galaxy 3......I really like the LG3 better than my old galaxy...when it works....the problem is I have to trouble shoot daily or power down daily to get it to function right. Never powered off my galaxy for glitches. Maybe I should have waited for the s6 release or went with the Note 4. Passed my return date.....feel like I'm stuck.

That certainly is concerning and we want you to have a worry free phone! The heat of the phone is concerning me. Does this phone heat up on its own while it is just sitting doing nothing? Could you please give more details as to when it heats up? Is the phone plugged into the charger or in use when it warms up?

When the phone sits idle...no charging / no use.....it does not feel hot. I'm actually running three aps right now to check the phone temperature because I was not getting consistent readings. According to Battery Doctor and Cooler Master when the phone is idle, it's temperature is high 80's...low to mid 90's. According to Clean Master, the temp is around 130......When charging the phone gets somewhat hot and the temperature goes up to the 120s.....when in use and I mean minimal use.....such as checking text, email, and facebook for no more than a few minutes.....the phone has gotten as hot as 130 and 140 on all three aps.....and it gets very warm to the touch on the back on the metal power button.

When I first got the phone, I was averaging a battery life of over 24 hours using the battery saver. I have not added any additional aps, in fact, I went in and removed some of them.....now the battery is just draining.....went to bed at 100% charge, woke up phone was dead...down to 0...with no use. This morning phone was at 100%......8 hours later down to 30% with minimal use. I've actually been avoiding using it because of the heat issue.

i am not a big fan of lg mobiles, but i think first your should clear cache partition, perform hard reset or factory data reset and if none of this work then flash the stock rom again on your LG G3. try these steps http://techbeasts.com/2014/07/27/how-to-fix-lag-issue-on-lg-g3/

My LG3 heats up as well. I had a Samsung before. Can't wait to trade this in for a different phone. Gets too hot and i need to shut it down to cool off. Not the best way to run a phone line.

There are no warning messages. Nothing is melting. This has been an issue with my phone and my wife's phone for a few months now. The phones have not been exposed to moisture or physical damage.We were told by a local Verizon location in BJ's that does happen because there is so much going on in the phone that it heats up. If it does feel very hot to shut if off before it catches fire.

Thanks for the additional information Ron. No warning messages and no melting parts is a good sign. It is normal for a phone to get warm when applications run for a long time, or when multiple applications run at the same time. In review of your previous messages, you indicate that your phone has software version VS98512B, this is outdated and the current software version for your phone created by the manufacturer to improve performance is VS98524B.
