All my Gmail contacts are not sync'ing with my Samsung S4mini

I have at least two contacts in my Gmail account that don't show up in the contacts list on my Samsung S4mini after I sync. (Out of my 800 or so contacts, there may be more that also haven't sync'ed, but these two were particularly important, so I noticed that they were missing.) There's nothing structurally different between these two contacts and any other contacts, so I can't figure out why these two particular contacts aren't sync'ing. What's going on, and why?

Let's look into this! When you log into your Gmail account from a computer, under contacts do you see the 2 contacts in question?

You need to check some of your contacts as some phones try to merge like contacts (same last name, same address, one of the phone numbers the same) so it is very possible that your phone has done this to your contacts. It is easy to undo them as well.

Also some of the contacts may not be google contacts (if they were on another phone first) if they are NOT Google contacts then they never synced to google to begin with so they never made it back to the phone.

Yes, when I log into my Gmail account on my computer, I do see the two contacts in question.

Jake, you’re probably right. The two contacts that didn’t sync from my Gmail contacts list to my Samsung S4mini have very similar names to other contracts.

What do I need to do to those two contacts to get them to sync?

I just do a gmail cache clearing an then a renaming. Make it different both name and number and yet something you will know and it always works for me. Next do a normal restart and than re-sync those new contacts.
