I had to get a new acc cause you can't seem to buy a new phone without one,.. Anyways I switched from droid x2 to the LG transpyre. But the back up assist won't let me load contacts n says cloud is outdated for this phone.. How can I get my contacts from one acc to the new one

It's important you are able to backup your contacts, phreak. In order to backup your contacts from the Droid X2, the device must be active on your line so it can connect to the server. Once the device is activated, you will be able to sync your contacts to prepare them for a transfer to your new phone.

After you get your contacts back, change them all to Google Contacts and let Google back them up. You will NEVER run into any issues like this again.

IF your contacts were sync to your old phone number on Verizon servers you will probably have to call customer support to get help moving the data over.

If you had Google registered on the phone and it backed up your contacts pictures and apps, then it will likely auto restore then to the new phone once you have input your google account.

If you want to keep your old number. You must call Verizon prior to activation and ask them to put the old number on the new SIM. Otherwise the new phone will create a new number on the new phone.
