When will the LG g3 update to lollipop?

What I've been reading is that the lg g3 has been receiving the update since like October of last year! Of course to other countries.. why hasn't it gotten to AMERICA yet??
No idea, it's pretty frustrating though. I'm sick to death of KitKat. I have had a few devices on this operating system and I want a change. I don't want to have to flash a custom Rom when I know it's coming out soon. If I have to wait much longer I just might. I hear cyanogenmod 12 is compatible with LG g3. It also comes without all the unnecessary bloat ware Verizon packages with the phone.
