battery life

Hey I am posting this as a question to anybody that can help me here... I have a galaxy s4 I had replaced in January because of a power cycling problem, I have only had my curent phone for 5 months and I am already having problems with the battery going dead really fast... I noticed this problem after the new lollipop update and I actually like this update because of the gs5 platform. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do to change this I have my power saving options all on like the cpu usage, screen power and the haptic feed back...

Correct. The battery is considered a "throw away" item and usually has a warranty of 90 days. 9 times out of 10, battery drain issues are not caused by a battery. If it is more than, say, 14 months old, I would suspect a battery needs to be replaced. I good trick is to fully charge the battery and then call #2539 and let it go for about 10 minutes. If the battery drains more than 10% then you might need a new one. I would definitely make sure to do a full factory reset and do not restore from a back up. See if that helps.

Also a good one is to make sure that Location is on Battery Saving Mode.

Charge the phone to 100%, use it as normal until it's down to 25% and then go to settings>battery and tell us the top few things.

I charged it up last night with the phone turned off and the top six are: Screen, Android System, Android OS, System UI, Media Server, and Phone Idle.

Screen: 17%, Android System 9%, Android OS 5%, phone idle 2% and system UI 2% but it has changed since I last posted..
