I was wondering why in the last day there is a red blinking rectangle on the far edges of my screen. I hope it's just a simple setting. It blinks randomly on the home screen and during certain apps. Thank you.

Attaching a screenshot with your phone make/model would also help.
It's not a notification for an email or text. I can't provide a screenshot because it blinks so fast. It's a red blinking square on all sides of the outer screen.
Sounds like something that happens when Developer Options are active, like Input-Show Touches or Screen refresh flashes.
Thank you for the suggestion, but that didn't do it.
