unable to text certain phones

my friend has a Palm Pre. Verizon phone and I have a galaxy Note 4 and we can't send or receive each others text messages. How can we fix this?

Natas0420, we're stepping in with our tool belts to fix this issue. What happens when you try to send text messages to each other? Are you getting an error message? Are you using a 3rd party text messaging application that has been downloaded from the Google Play Store?

Nothing i send a text and he doesn't get it and he's unable to even text me

you can't even send a text it all and not let him sign in to text what's

your number his number is [removed] and my number is [removed] I have

a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 not 4 sorry

Is he able to send/receive texts at all? Has he ever been? It could be that he doesn't have a text plan and has text messaging blocked on his account completely.

Thank you for the details! That's important so we can get to the bottom of this. For security, private information, such as phone numbers are removed from posts. When is the last time you were able to text him ? What is the error message he sees when he tries to text you? What's the error on your end. Finally, are you able to text and receive messages from other people?
