Whenever I try to check my voicemail messages, I get a message that says "Unable to verify subscription status. Please try again later". Why is this?
You are using visual voicemail?
I don't believe so. I'm not sure what visual voicemail is. It's just my regular voicemail which has always worked fine up until now.
If you are using standard basic voicemail and are getting this issue I would look at the voicemail app and clearing the cache, I can on mine. Outside of that, are you getting voicemails? The mailbox is set up? Visual VM is where you get the message in audio format on your phone and dont have to dial in and go through prompts. I know on some phones that got VoLTE updates that our voicemail boxes had to be re-set up.
Let's look furhter into this to make sure you get all your messages dgroves75! In addition to Snn5's great questions, when exactly did this start? Which phone do you have? Are you dialing 1 to call your voice mail, or are you dialing *86 [send]? Do you know if your greeting comes up when callers hear you? Please elaborate. I started having this same problem, but I can get it to work as long as Mobil Data is turned on. I had turned it off because it was getting close to my Date plan limit, and was using WIFI only. It appears the app needs to utilize the Mobil Data network to check subscription status - even if WIFI is turned on. Is there an update available for this app? The app came with the phone (not downloaded) and I'm assuming it was an app created by Verizon Wireless - just a guess.
