Moto X and Windows XP

I am trying to connect my Moto X to a Windows XP computer via the OEM USB cable. This works on a Windows 8.1 computer without issue.

When I connect the Moto X to the XP computer, the new hardware wizard starts but it cannot locate any suitable drivers.

Any idea what is wrong?

You need to download the MTP fix and then I believe it should work. Motorola didn't make specific drivers for XP last I remember.

If not, you can do a search of your phone and add "device driver" and hopefully you can install it manually.
