How to break contract?

How can I break my 2years Verizon contract? It is been 9 months now and I feel I cannot afford 70$ a month for next 15 months. I wish to break my contract and pay one time price for my device and switch to any other cheaper coverage. Please help me with it. I tried asking in verizon store but they gave ignoring responses! Most of them said I have to look for it on the web or call customer care!

2 year contract? You'll pay an ETF fee. Customer Care should be able to tell you the exact amount. If you're trying to pay off an edge phone then you'll have to contact them to find out the payoff I believe. It should be whatever the remaining balance is for full retail. Someone else may chime in with more specific info.

Your not gonna do very well with them breaking a contract unless you're into the Lollipop saga, lol.

You could ask for a court hearing and prove a hardship which would likely rule in your favor if indeed you are financially strapped, but the hearing request will cost you $60.

Verizon's answer for everything is, well suck it up not our fault.
