LG G2 Losing Contact Photos

Can anyone tell me why I keep losing part of my contact photos. I replace them and then within a hour or so they are gone. One of my contacts name keeps changing back to an incorrect spelling that I have corrected and saved and backed up to the cloud. Also is it possible to see the file that contains the contacts when attached to a pc? Photos on the cloud, why doesn't it back up all photos. I have several folders in my photo gallery but the cloud doesn't back up all the photos. I have one folder that is labeled "faces" that I have all my contact photos In. When I go to the cloud I cannot find these photos.

Look no further help is here! Let's get this figured out. When did this issue start? Are the pictures you are losing for your contacts for the same person or is it random? What software version is on the phone? Are your syncing your contacts with any other app? If so, they make be linking from other apps. Visit http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-87355/ to unlink.

In regards to the photos not backing up on the cloud, is it happening only with one specific folder? If you move the pictures to the general photos folder do they back up?

The contact photos that I am losing are random. There are some contact photos that have never changed. I have Android 5.0.2 software version VS98039A. I stopped all syncing from 2 email accounts. I also separated all contacts. I have replaced all missing contact photos and backed up to the cloud several times and still lose some of the contact photos. I also still have the one contact that the name keeps changing back to the wrong spelling, that I had corrected. I have my settings to only display Backup Assistant contacts. I also have it set to only display contacts with phone numbers. When I log onto my cloud and look at my contacts, not all of the contacts have the contact photos with them. Are the photos supposed to back up to the cloud also? However, this doesn't coincide with the missing photos on my phone. would it do any good to delete all contacts from the cloud and do a fresh sync from my phone?

I can see you've done some fantastic steps already, m_kimmel. When adding the picture on your phone, check right next to the picture in the edit screen. Do you see Google contact, Phone - Cloud contact, or another selection? What steps did you take to separate all contacts? If you go into the contact that keeps coming up as an incorrect spelling and select edit, scroll down to see if the contact is listed in more than one way. I believe we can avoid having to delete the contacts but do want to find a bit more information for the best resolution.
