does anyone else feel like no matter how long you've been a customer and no matter how much money you've given this company that they just don't care if your a customer or not? i wont list every single problem iv encountered but my recent is upgrading to a new phone. i am a few months away from my new every 2 but i have to get a new phone anyways because yet again my previous one has not made it a full 2 without messing up. in fact iv used it, the voyager, for the past 7 months without a working outside screen but still used it because it cost so much....even though it was suppose to be an early upgrade for 49.00 that a customer rep contacted me about and talked me into that turned out costing over 250.00....and with the economy the way it has been i havent had the extra money to get a new phone. well the inside screen finally goes out so im forced to upgrade early. no one at verizon cares and will help out to get me a new phone that i want. i will say i got a new phone...a free one even...but its the smooth and it is aweful. there is a muted noise every time i talk on it and it just feels so cheap. the retail value supposedly is 200.00....there s not a chance in heck that this little plastic toy is worth over 25.00!! i wanted to get a multimedia phone but now there s a charge just to have certain phones even if your not going to use the thing for multimedia...what is that all about? you might say, why do you want one of those phones then? i say, because they have better cameras...thats one reason. im not gonna pay anymore than i already do though. well anyways, i decided to get one of the phones that you dont have to pay an extra charge for every month and i decided on the convoy or one of the other ruggedized phones. well none of those are free because im not quite to my new every 2 mark.....thats ok to me tho...even though i fell like verizon should be more sympathetic to a customer like myself thats been "loyal" for so long and is always getting these thank you "loyal" customer emails for my continued commitment. so i try to check out with the convoy, becasue its the cheapest phone that i personally think i would like but they want to charge me right then and there instead of billing me. i find out its becasue i was late on a payment and if your late within the last 6 months they cant bill you for it you must pay then. verizon has always got their payments from me, some have been late i admit but i have always paid...and paid alot!! i tell them that im thinking of going to another carrier and they dont act like they care at all. They feel thay they have enough customers and losing me wont be a big deal. I dont owe anything on my bill as of right now....the cheap free phone i have is a piece of junk that i know wont hold up for the next 2 years, im locked into another 2 year agreeement now, the prices are way too high for everything, verizon dont care if your a "loyal" customer or not, customer service is the most difficult thing iv ever known, I would like a new phone...the convoy, i dont want to pay for it because i feel im owed at least that for my many years of commitiment and all the **bleep** iv put up with and all the charges iv paid in the past that werent correct and all the phones iv had that have messed up on there own that iv paid for and not being given any typ of reimbursement for, and if i must have to pay a little bit for a new phone for an early upgrade then I want the benefit of the doubt and want to be billed for the phone.....iv met and exceeded my initial contract with verizon, im pretty sure i will pay whatever bill they send me and that shows in my history. This company needs a wake up call, a reality check...something to make them go back to respecting customers and treating every customer equal. all in all i want to feel like verizon wants my business and is willing to do what it takes within reason to make sure i stay a "loyal" customer. Iv said i was going to change before and cancel my contract but this time i think its about time i actuall do that. i dont want to pay the early term fee so ill prob just wait it out and not renew unless i see some changes in this company. its not just the treating of customers that needs to change either....the prices need to drop...all these extra fees need to stop and they need to think about where the economy is at the moment and the people that are affected by the economy.. verizon in the next 5 years will not be leading this industry the way they are going becasue i know the others are catching up to service capability and the others are definitley cheaper. If I was at the top of the food chain at corpo verizon i would be suggesting not being so greedy and getting back to the basics with customer relations and support. If verizon does that, no one will ever touch them...if not....they ll be in second place if not third by 2015.
