iPhone 5c 32gb to Droid MAXX through early Edge promo?

I really want an Android phone, but my two-year contract isn't up until next March. I'm eligible for the Early EDGE promotion which is offering the Droid MAXX this month. I have the iPhone 5C 32gb right now. Should I get the MAXX or wait to see if the promotion changes sometime soon? I've looked at the no-contract, Verizon phones for sale on Amazon but I have no idea if they're a safe buy or not.

You would be best to wait till your 2 year contract is up. With the Edge program you'd be paying about $24 per month for a phone along with the plan, not a good deal with where you're at right now.

What Kemara posted on activate device is a nitemare with Verizon. Trust me when I tell you that.

I purchased a Droid Maxx with the 2 year loyalty plan. Unlimited talk and Text with 2 GB of data. Dropped the phone and broke the screen. Switched to my old phone while I was having the Droid Maxx repaired. Then when I had the repair done and activated the Maxx. Verizon said the plan now only has 250 MB of data per month, cause I changed device, while having the repair done.

They would not even honor their own contract. Because I switched devices while getting one repaired. As crazy as it sounds true. Now if I broke my agreement with them, I'd be charged $375.

So I decided to take them to court to get them to void their own contract, which I had the paper work on. Then they decided to honor their contract. So be careful what you do mid stream with them. Other than that they are the best phone carrier in the country by far.

Actually, switching to Edge now would only increase my monthly bill by $9 when I factor in employee discounts. I talked to several reps in chat last night who had never even heard of the Early EDGE promotion. They told me any phone is eligible for Edge. I said, yes, but that's not what this promotion is, and I had to explain it to them. They also couldn't tell me which phone I was eligible to purchase.

In any case, it seems I am unable to purchase *any* phone - including the Droid MAXX. When I get to the shipping address screen it tells me "We are unable to save your selections. Could you please try again?" So I called, and the rep was able to access my account and add the Samsung S5 to the cart. When I try to do the same, a pop-up tells me the phone is not eligible for Early EDGE. I stopped her before she finalized the purchase for fear that I would have to pay full price....despite her reassurances to the contrary.

I'm extremely frustrated....a friend recommended AT&T, but I can't afford to switch right now or I probably would.
