Droid Maxx will not power on

anyone have any idea why droid max turned off for no reason and will not turn back on. have tried to reset with power and volume button and it did nothing. also took out sims card to make sure it wasn't loose, etc. and it all seems fine. and the phone is charged....but will not turn on and the light doesnt come on when i plug it in either.

Uh oh! I have the Maxx too and I know that if that happened to me, I would definitely have some concerns. Glad to hear that you were able to try powering the device back on with the Power and Volume key as that is definitely something we would recommend. To be sure, did you use the Volume Down key? We can also try plugging the device into the charger momentarily to ensure it has a charge and then attempt the reset sequence again. As well, before this happened, had there been any recent changes to the device such as new apps, software updates or even damage? Tried doing the suggested method to boot in safe mode. Did not work. Any

other suggestions? The screen stays blank and nothing happens on the

screen.

There has been no damage to it. I have used several different chargers.

Still nothing.

I had the same thing happen to two separate Droid Maxx HDs. The first one was when Verizon sent an OS update in May 2014 and the second time to a separate phone was a week ago and was told by customer service that it was an operating system issue and it happens a lot to the Droid Maxx HD.
