Voicemail is asking for voicemailbox number. It is not my phone number

I have a Galaxy S5 phone. I set up my voicemail account when I got the phone and it had been working fine. Late last week, something strange happened. When someone calls and I can't answer the phone they are prompted to enter a voicemailbox number. When I realized there was a problem, I called my voicemail using both *86 and by pressing and holding 1 on the dial pad. Each time I was asked for the voicemailbox number or press # to access my voicemail account. After pressing #, I am asked to enter my voicemailbox number. I enter my 10 digit phone number and am told that this is not a valid number. I try by passcode and that does not work either. Now, no one can leave me a message and, even if they did, I cannot access the message. I have tried rebooting my device with no luck either. Any suggestions out there?

I'm not sure if this is what you're referring to, but If memory serves me correctly when you set up your voice mail it wants you to create a 4 digit password. Originally that password is the last 4 numbers of your phone number. It's been awhile since I set up a voice mail though...
