i tried to do the update on my s6 edge last night and it went into recovery mode, what do i do?

I am sorry to hear of the trouble with your phone! Did you have yoru phone information such as contacts & pictures backed up with the Verizon Cloud or in another way? You may need to go through the recoverry mode process to get the phone up to date. I also have a link here where you can update/repair your phone software by connecting it to your computer.
