Why am I not getting any service at all? Went from At&t to verizon just a few hours ago and I cant even make a call?!?!?!?
Sometimes it takes a while for service to transfer over. That being said, are you sure you are in an area with signal?
If you JUST ported a number a few hours ago, you can receive text and phone calls, you just can't make them. It can take up to 24 hours for a number to complete porting.

You should also turn off the AT&T phone and remove the SIM card. Keeping it on can slow down the porting process even prevent it altogether.
