Missing feature in Eris update?

After updating my Eris (5/17/10 AM) I am mostly pleased with it. However there does seem to be some features missing that were listed on the official release notes from VZW. My update does not have pinch to zoom in maps or gallery, nor does it have expanded speech to text support. Can anyone enlighten me on this?

I believe you can search this forum to find the 3D Gallery Appication for your Eris. Comments you will get on the forum range from "The hardware can't handle it" (this is totally bogus) to "the battery life would suffer" (I have not noticed this drain). -solved-

 

Pinch to zoom is a function Google maps have to provide in their software. Other than this stab in the dark as to why it's not there I have no clue. un-resolved

 

Speech to text does work on the Eris, but you have to download a keyboard with the mic button as the keyboard with the Eris does not have it.

 

I believe a keyboard on the Eris forum section of phandroid.com has such a keyboard. -solved-
