Galaxy s5 that is locked on Us Cellular

Just bought a galaxy s5 that is locked on Us Cellular. I was told by a rep that I could buy that and then use it on Verizons network. I cannot get a code to unlock it online because it only has 14 Imei code and not 15. Is this phone compatible with Verizon or am I screwed?

The phone must be unlocked (if it is) by US Cellular. that can only be done if the phone is free of leins or payments and is owned outright. Provided that is the case, usually a "0" can be used as the first or last digit. I have seen where the HEX and IMEI numbers are off by one digit as well. It just depends on what US Cellular will do. You'd have to compare the frequencies and bands in both versions to determine the compatibility with Verizon's networks.
