I work in a lab and I can not bring my cell phone into the lab. It would be nice to know if there is a Verizon setting, or an Android App that could do this, to help when waiting on an important call.
An email address is not a phone, so no you cannot forward a phone call to an email address. How would you answer it????
You can forward your received calls to a phone number, though. Forward the calls to your lab phone. Just be sure to cancel the forwarding when you leave, or else you will not receive any calls on your cell phone until you do so.

Such an app would send a text message to my email with the calling number.
You had stated you wanted the "call" forwarded to your email, not simply an email notification of "missed" calls and the number attempting the call.
I don't know of an app which will forward a notification for a missed call. Have you looked in the Google Play store? It appears there are several apps which will notify you of missed calls, however they do not indicate if the app will send an email notification. Most appear as if they simply make your phone screen flash or play a notification sound based upon a set interval of time.
You could try downloading one until you find one which offers email notification.
One thing to keep in mind about missed calls, the number available for caller ID is not necessarily the extension making the call, but a central switchboard number which may not even be monitored. This is often the case for larger businesses and/or government entities.
