I'm disappointed in Verizon for a number of reasons, but today's call to customer service may be the push I need to switch providers. I had read several reports that Verizon was lowering their data plans, but existing users had to call and request the change. So, I called, but the service rep informed me that my current plan did not qualify. She did, however, tell me that if I switched to the More Everything plan, it would reduce my bill $25 per month, and my data would not change. I agreed to switch. However, when I received the confirmation email, I found that my bill was actually higher AND I was getting 1GB of data LESS! I had to call back to get it straightened out with a new rep, and the new rep was able to put me back on my old plan. This was incredibly deceitful, frustrating and poor customer service. I truly cannot believe she either flat out lied or wasn't competent enough to provide me with a realistic comparison of the two plans. This is an unacceptable business practice. I respectfully request a response as to how this matter will be handled with the service rep and how I can file a formal complaint. The 2nd rep told me to fill out the 360 feedback online, but that doesn't seem to actually exist. In the meantime, I believe I'll be shopping for a new wireless provider. Quite frankly, there's no incentive to stay with Verizon when our contracts are up...or at this point, it might be worth it just to pay to get out. Most providers are cheaper anyway...loyalty has never been a reward for Verizon customers.
