What does keeping my sync button on on my droid turbo really do? Harm or good?

I still haven't received a straight answer ..is keeping sync on ok for my phone/battery/apps? And for all the apps that I never use, is it gonna be a problem for my phone since I uninstalled them all the way to the. Factory instalment ??
Mine stays on and I have not had a problem.
I appreciate the additional details. We want to make sure we had a full understanding of what you were looking to sync so we could provide you with the most accurate information. In regards to keeping the sync options for your applications on it is not bad for your device. Keep in mind keeping sync on does provide your device permission to sync at any time and therefore in some cases can drain your battery depending on how often it syncs.
