Can't Send or Recieve Text on my Droid Eris

Yesturday I got a new Droid Eris in the mail. I called verizon, set it up and everything ran perfectly. Earlier today I was texting a friend, and when I tried to respond to his text, I got an error message that said..

 

SMS Error

Radio Interface Resource Shortage.

 

Then when I pressed details it said..

 

SMS Error

Cause code: 64

Error class: 2

 

I tried taking out my battery and putting it back in, but its still acting up. What can I do to fix this problem?

You may want to try reprogramming your phone by dialing the *228 option 1. If this does not fix your issue, you may then want to contact out technical support at 1-800-922-0204 option 3 for additional troubleshooting options, just in case a software update is needed for your device.
