How do I report poor signal strength in my neighborhood?

I live in a 700 home community where half of the community has extremely a poor Verizon cell signal. Making and receiving a cell call inside our homes is virtually impossible. It's actually comical to see others making calls from their yards and driveways to get some sort of signal. I have a Droid Turbo and other family members have iphones and other brands so it's not a phone issue. I need to get this resolved as I'm wasting money every month on a service I can't use. Would like to discuss this with Verizon to determine what can be done in this area (Fernandina Beach, FL, 32034). Please advise on who to contact. Thank you.

Your best bet is to call in or start a chat session. However it's not as simple as them just driving out and building a tower. It's good you realize that it's an area issue and always good to alert them that areas are expanding so they should too. Just don't expect any immediate results.

What you can do is ask around and see who does get service; At&T, T-Mobile etc. Keep in mind that carriers often share towers so if Verizon isn't getting service that could mean others aren't either. Verizon can let you know if you are on an extended network (another carriers tower) or on theirs though I bet.

If all carriers get poor reception you should look into a mobile service extender; it boost the signal and should help get you more coverage inside your home until plans are made to extend service.

I have been told by Verizon to get a Network Extender since my community also has poor reception. Two of my neighbors complained to Verizon about the poor service and were provided FREE network extenders. I just moved in and when I called Verizon they were only willing to give me a $75 reduction of a new Extender which costs $249.

How long ago did your neighbors move in? Is it a new complex?

If having service in your home is important, you should look for a provider which has better signal in your area.

I am sure you do not want to purchase a $250 network extender.

Erecting new towers is not likely an option as it can take years to get approval from local governments to do so.
