Is anyone having issues with an echo when on speaker phone, callers hear themselves, is there a fix?
I called support and they were determined that this was being caused by a 3rd party app that I had installed. Fine, I'll play along and factory reset my G3 once again! Make sure the Automatic restore option is not selected before doing this. This was a few weeks ago and I was told to give it a few days before adding any apps. Sure enough, no more echo. So I re-installed FACEBOOK. Still no problems. A day or two passes and the echo came back. Since I was told to install one app at a time and test I had not re-installed PANDORA and had been using the SLACKER app that came pre-installed on the G3. I noticed that the Slacker app icon had changed, and that an update was pushed to my phone for this. I uninstalled the SLACKER update and instantly the echo vanished. This can be done from Settings > Application Manager, then select the app and uninstall updates. My suggestion for those having G3 echo (or Bluetooth issues), factory reset and turn off Auto-update apps under Play Store > Settings. Take control of these and install them manually from Play Store > My apps. Give each update a few days before updating the next, this way you know which is the culprit when issues come back. Hopefully this helps someone here. It's sure frustrating when WE have to figure out the issues for a company this size.
Echo is more common in some phones and networks when Volume is set at a too high level. It also is more a network related issue when your working on a cross-network system. Verizon to Sprint, Verizon to an Att caller. Try to keep your volume at a lower setting and talk in a normal voice to see if this helps. Also note when this happen and on what networks.

Re: Samsung S5 speakerphone echo fixed ** Turn off TalkBack app
I also have this issue.... Drives me nuts!
This just started happening to me too. Very annoying. I've had the g3 since launch and this is new. Reboot doesn't seem to fix it. I Ann using the new advanced calling too, trying to turn that off now. Who knows.
Just started on mine a few weeks ago. Factory reset didn't work. Verizon sent me a new device and still I have the issue. The best thing to do is call support, and put them on speakerphone so they can hear the issue.
Unfortunately I am on my 3rd replacement phone and still having callers hearing there own voice echo back to them. It is a know issue by Verizon and LG and there is supposedly an update coming. I could no longer wait for the update as I use this phone for business calls, so I bought out my edge contract.
What really hurts is that I bought a cheap pre-paid phone (won't mention the other carrier) for 25 bucks and am having no problem at all with callers having the echo.
Believe me, I tried everything that is possible to get this fixed. Nothing worked for me. I am extremely disappointed that Verizon was not able to remedy this situation as this phone is defective. It is a shame too. Other than the echo problem this is one fantastic phone, but if you can't make calls without getting folks you are talking to aggravated by that darn echo what good is the phone ?
Three months of dealing with this problem with no resolution was enough for me.
Hopefully for the rest of you out there, a software update won't be to far away.
I disabled Slacker from day one. I have had the echo problem when on speakerphone or audio cable. I do no have it on Bluetooth, or just holding the phone up to my ear.
MattAndroidWarrior, I appreciate you posting to the forum in regards to your concerns. NVRicochet3006 has given some great feedback and steps that we do appreciate, as those steps mentioned would be great to try as well.
Just a couple of quick questions for you: when did this start happening? Have you tried to place your phone is Safe Mode: http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-112843/ to see if it still happens?
Please keep us posted as to the outcome!
