LG G3 cant connect to wifi after Lollipop update

After getting the update a couple days ago, I have not been able to connect to my WiFi. Had no issues prior to the update. I have done everything Ive read online, with no success. I am assuming this is one of the many Lollipop bugs? Has there been a fix discovered yet? Obviously this is a big issue as I don't want to use my data. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I regret doing the update. I cannot use wifi and if it works its slower than 3g. Im going to run thru data so I hope I wouldnt get charged overage fees...

I did a factory reset. Didnt help and this has been a huge headache.

Any overages on data will be chargeable. So, keep an eye on that.

Yes, did a factory reset. Did not help. Was on chat with Verizon last night, they are sending me a replacement and are stating its a "manufacture defect". I just hope the replacement doesn't have Lollipop already installed! If it does, I will be contacting support again!

Contact Verizon. They told me they haven't had any other reports of the connecting to wifi issue, and cant escalate it to LG without more reports.

Im close to going over my data limit as well, if I do go over, I will be contacting support, as I will not pay the overages due to the fact this is not my fault!

It most likely wont, but you'll have to update it anyway. Can't defer the update forever since the G3 will auto install at some point.

I can connect to wifi, but it is so slow as to be unusable. I contacted Verizon via Chat and they sent me here. They also said, " I do show we are currently investigating that issue."

Hopefully, an update will be coming soon. I do not want to go through the hassle of a factory reset, especially considering what I have read from those that did and are still having problems.

I am having issues after updating to Lollipop as well. My bluetooth streaming audio gets choppy after the screen dims, and my wifi is having connection issues also. I have read on other forums that this is an Android runtime error, and it is fixed by a newer version (v20h) of the update, but it is not available through Verizon yet, it seems. I haven't found any other solution.

Update: I contacted LG and they are wanting me to RMA my phone.

Are you not under warranty still? Faster to get a warranty replacement in 2 days rather than wait 2 weeks. It's a refurbished phone in the end either way.

Here's the thing: we are taking our valuable time and effort in even having to deal with these issues. Verizon wants us to do all the footwork. This is a HUGE inconvenience to me because I have an incredibly busy life! Now they are telling us that we have to get a new phone? That means having to possibly lose data, and having to take literally hours out of my day to reconfigure a new phone, not to mention getting a refurbished phone, rather than the BRAND-NEW phone that I had to order because the local Verizon store did not have them in the first place!

Why can't they just release an update to the software? The Europeans have done it! We definitely will not get any bill credit or anything for having to do all this footwork...They offer a product, they need to back it up.

It's driving me crazy. Since Lollipop update, connecting to any wifi, including my own home router, is not happening. I'm having to use my own data plan in my home. Really annoying!

I've had the same problem. My Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter will not update if I'm on WiFi. I switch WiFi off and they work just fine. I did a factory reset and no dice. My phone still doesn't like WiFi. Before Lollipop I had no problems at all with a WiFi Connection.

I have been deferring since it came out, surely they wouldn't force it on us? If they do, how long before it is forced onto the phone?

After reading all the frustrating posts above. I do want to say, after upgarde, my wifi connection fails to connect to my LAN/WAN/Wifi router wifi (100%). It would initially connected, then seems get kicked off. However, ironically, it connects to my wifi range extender just fine. My wifi range extender router and my router are by same manufacurer. Only different in is the SSIDs. Since the range extender is wifi connects to my router for internet access. I think it must be the algorithm designs on the router. Also, it connects through public wifi at public locations; airports, resturants,.....etc. That said, although it doesn't bother me (since I am able to connect). I do like to see the fix sooner the better (before my range extender break).
