I had a live chat with verizon on saturday thought this was fixed but it is happening again. I can't receive phone calls or call out on my Galaxy s5. Any suggestions? Thanks!
What is the old phone? If there is a SIM card in it, remove the SIM from the old phone, and leave it powered off while activating the new phone. Power the old phone back on without a SIM card once the new phone is connected and receiving/making calls properly. If it's still receiving calls, it's obviously powered on and connected to the network, so that needs to be undone (by removing the SIM and powering off the phone) before the new phone can completely connect.
If you recently ported your number from a different carrier, it may take a couple of days for the port to fully complete,a nd the old phone must be powered down and disconnected from the previous network.
Shyde, Let's get the calls working on your Galaxy S 5! When was the last time you were able to make/receive calls on your Galaxy S 5?

After about 10 calls lost I could make a call, but its spotty. It will ring on my old phone that my daughter uses for games.
You should also put the old phone in Airplane mode especially if it is an older 3G EDVO only smartphone.
IT isn't supposed to be possible to have 2 SIM cards active on the same phone number.
as Suzy suggested, remove the sim from the old phone. It will still work on wifi for games.
It seems the new sim isn't activated properly. I would take it into a Verizon store and a properly active sim put in the new phone..
Did you port you number from another carrier?
