I accidentally deleted a conversation of iMessages. Is there any possible way to get them back? I meant to only delete one text but I didn't realize it would delete all of them.
When your phone backs up to iCloud or iTunes, it backs up the messages. If you do a restore before overwriting the backup you can get the messages back.
Unfortunately, once iMessages are deleted you can't recover them.
So, if they're not in my phone anymore, Verizon can't somehow get them for me?.....
imessage is not a Verizon app so they have no control over your messages.
OK. Thank you. So, if I accidentally delete regular text messages, could Verizon recovered those for me?
Do you have a back up to iCloud? That may have your text messages if you do a restore. That is the only way I know.
Thank you so much for trying to help. This is very discouraging. I do have things backed up to iCloud but I cannot see how to have my messages backed up there so I don't think they are there.
Very sad.

This website claims that its software can recover iMessages from iCloud for you, not sure if it works or not though.

I respectfully disagree. Icloud backup has always backed up my messages. In fact Apple indicates and confirms iCloud backup backs up messages:
iCloud: iCloud storage and backup overview
iCloud automatically backs up the information on your devices—iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch—over Wi-Fi every day when they are turned on, locked, and connected to a power source. With your device information backed up in iCloud, you can easily set up a new device or restore information on one you already have.
Here’s what iCloud backs up:
Your iCloud backup includes information about the content you have purchased, but not the purchased content itself. When you restore from an iCloud backup, your purchased content is automatically downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store. Some types of content aren’t downloaded automatically in all countries, and previous purchases may be unavailable if they have been refunded or are no longer available in the store.
