Was holding off to post this until I got my new phone. Waited six months and now I'm still having the same issue on this new one.
Messages will say they are sending for hours (up to days) on end. I use the default messaging app on a Samsung Stratosphere II at the moment (LG Enact previously). Sometimes the messages are reported as "not sent" after a restart. This issue began within minutes of setting up this Stratosphere though, and the restart only reported half of the four messages I was trying to send as "not sent". The other two are still "sending" now... more than 12 hours later.
Problem has been happening since January. Can only imagine this is an issue within the network or perhaps SIM cards or something. VERY frustrated at this point.
Also, since location always seems to be the question asked, I can tell from my experience at least that location does NOT matter!!! I have been everywhere from Maine to Florida to Missouri and I've had the same issues all over. Sometimes my wifi is on when it occurs, sometimes it is not. And as far as being inside or outside... I'm pretty sure within six months I've probably experienced both.
