Ignore coverage maps when considering Verizon. While Verizon uses the coverage map for marketing, they will tell you coverage is only guaranteed at your contract address. Coverage is not ensured even if map shows dark red and there is zero service throughout the red area. In summary, coverage map is useless and only a marketing ploy. Keep that in mind.

Just ended call with customer service who looked at a "coverage" map that showed different coverage info than the external facing Verizon web site map. So does that say their internal technical maps show less coverage than their external facing coverage maps used for marketing? That was the take-away and the rep was silent when challenged on that.
