How can I (temporarily) disable data use on my phone and/or my mobile browser?

Question

I am trying to, preferably temporarily, disable the ability to use data and/or the mobile browser on my phone. Basically, I am loaning my phone to someone for  a few days and don't want them to be able to use data or at the very least use the mobile web app on my phone to access the Internet.

I have a LG Cosmo 3 phone. My plan is the $35 no contract unlimited talk/text/500 MB plan.

I can answer that, DenifLewesa! You can easily block data on My Verizon. Just block before loaning the phone, and unblock upon return. http://spr.ly/6-18Nmsa
