power up problem

I have a HTC Thunderbolt that will not power up.   It goes to the Thunderbolt logo then stops.  Have been having some problems of late with the screen scrambling where I had to restart.  New battery months old.     Removed SiM card to check for dirt.  No idea why it stopped.  Did not drop or get wet.  Just tired to do a restart.    Help!!   Phone no longer under warranty

If you have tried another charger/cable and a new battery, I'm not sure what else you can do to get the phone to work.  Might be time to explore a newer phone.
