Stock time/weather widget sometimes fails to display

Since the Lollipop update (there may be no connection, just coincidental), the stock time/weather widget at the top of my home page (Samsung Galaxy S4) fails to display several times every day. The blank blue screen is shown with nothing on it. Clearly the weather widget is not running automatically as it should. I have removed it and dragged it back to the screen. I have also turned it off (and back on), cleared the cache, data, etc. If I move it to a secondary screen, I have not seen it fail; it only seems to fail to display on the home page. I have tried other weather widgets and they work fine. Never fail. But I like the stock time/weather widget that comes with the phone best. Is anyone else having this problem?

Are you able to select a different screen as your Home Screen and then move all the things you like to it and delete the one that the widget doesn't work on? It is my understanding that the Widget works, just not on the screen you want it on?

I tested for an entire day with a different screen and did not see it fail. I want it on the home screen, though. If the widget is somehow corrupted, is there a way to reload it?

I have an S5 and perhaps this doesn't work on the S4, but when you hold down your finger on one of the pages (doesn't have to be the home page) the same way you do it for adding widgets does it give you the option to add or remove some of the pages? Is there an icon at the top of each page that is a House? The one on the Home Page will be white, while the others will be grey.

I just tried this and, yes, the home page can be changed. I have never seen this before! I'll give it a shot and see what hapoens. Good idea. Thanks!
