I'm about to get a new phone. How do is save my text messages. I saw instructions from gmail. It said to change browser settings to IMAP from pop. Could find no such choice. Phone is droid max. Saw a choice in Verizon cloud to save photos, not text.
Download SMS Backup and restore. Run it then copy the 2 files from it to your computer. After getting the new phone install SMS Backup and Restore, put the 2 files in the folder and reinstall them
New phones are exciting! Congratluations. If you have Verizon messages + that will also back up your messages. You can double check by logging in Verizon Messages + through My Verizon and searching for Verizon Messages. Otherwise, the Verizon Cloud would back them up. When setting up your new phone, make sure you know your google(gmail) account and password.
