I keep getting a pop up error message that google app has stopped working. this keeps me from typing a text pretty much.
IDK what phone you are using, but try to go to settings and then app manager. Find the Google App and either uninstall its updates, or clear/delete its cache. This should reset the app in case there was a conflict within it.
Another suggestion is to ensure that you have the latest update for Android System WebView (through the Play Store). It had an update last month that caused crashes and other issues, but has now been patched.
ASW is also a good place to start. You can uninstall its updates as well, then reboot, go to GPStore and update it again to see if that might fix the error.
