Galaxy Tab S 10.5 - No WiFi after waking from sleep

So I have noticed that when I wake my device from sleep after a few hours of not using it, I have to turn wifi off and back on again to get connectivity back. I checked to make to sure that wifi is always on during sleep is set. It was. Any ideas?

Disconnecting is a normal function to save battery, but it should reconnect when you wake it.

IT also has cellular?

How good is your wifi?

1. It is set to keep wifi on while sleeping

2. It doesn't actually disconnect from the wifi, it just won't load any Web pages, sync mail etc until I turn wifi off and back on

3. This happens on several networks, in this last incident it was less than 4 feet from the router

You can set it to defer to wifi, rather than cellular, but it will select best connection available.

if it happens on other networks, either they are all so-so, or the wifi antenna in the tablet is not functioning properly.

IS it using data?

What applications?

It is not using data until I turn wifi off and back on and then I get spammed with all of my notifications that have been building up since the wifi stoppedal working

Apps: mail, facebook, any game updates, any app that has notification updates

I got home from work tonight, after the tab sitting with in 4 feet of the router with 4 bars of strength (max) and it wasn't any to process anything until I reset it

With that said it doesn't even switch to cell during this time

The factory reset should work for you but I would go back to Samsung at Best Buy's as a first more like mama23dogs posted.

So I woke up this morning after doing a factory reset and the issue remains. WiFi even 5 hough is connected doesn't work until I turn off and back on. Guess I'm off to Verizon support its still under warranty. Thanks for all the help
