In San Ramon CA it should be called Slow G not 4G LTE

Bishop Ranch Business Park in San Ramon CA Verizon LTE is terrible. Slow speeds (0.5-1.5Mbps down/0.5Mbps up) in a business park that has large corporate offices. Chevron headquarters, ATT, Toyota, Coca-Cola to name a few. I have tried opening a technical support ticket which did nothing. They just say, "Heavy congestion area and we will try to increase the bandwidth. I will get back to you." The reality, no one gets back to me and nothing has changed for 6 months. I don't mind paying the VZW premium but I am getting terrible services. I am ready to give ATT or T-Mobile a try.

The Business park is comprised of several multi story buildings, steel (or other metal) glass - and cell signals are not guaranteed to reach everywhere. Do other providers have strong signal? Check with friends who may have T-Mo or ATT and see what their service is like.

If it's better, perhaps the buildings have extenders or repeaters that amplify the signal.

I'm familiar with that area - and although it's a heavily populated area, it's also hilly and signal is inconsistent as I drive around. MOST places I get a good strong signal, but there are pockets where I get nothing, and I'm not sure it's fixable... Mother Nature and all....

A verizon tech I spoke to months ago had looked into that. My reception is good. Not sure what dB but I usually get 4 to 5 bars on my iPhone 6. It's my speed that is terrible. When I manually switch to CDMA 3G, my speeds are much better. Hard to believe it's mother nature when VZW 3G gives me a better data speeds. It's just a pain to keep switching between LTE and 3G manual. I had hoped the AWS spectrum would help when VZW turned on "XLTE" in Sept but it didn't.
