Deleting multiple emails

LG G3...just got one and weathering the learning curve. Is there a way to delete multiple emails for one day at a time? Able to do that with my previous Samsung Galaxy. Now with Select All option it will delete every email received for today and previous days in one shot.

If you are using the stock email app, I was unable to find a way on my G2's stock email app to delete without selecting individually.  I believe I remember being able to select all then de-select the ones I wanted to keep.  In my case, I went with a dedicated official app.  I use Google Mail so I use the Gmail app and it allows me to do so.
