I can buy a new phone a little cheaper on Amazon, but I don't know how to transfer and set up the new phone, will I be sorry I didn't buy the phone from verizon?
If you already have everything backed up with Verizon on your old phone it will ask you after you activate the new phone if you want to transfer contacts. It was very easy I just got my new galaxy s4 a few days ago and it leads you through the steps. I got my phone exchange from Best buy for 1$ and got a 50$ Best buy Gift card!! Way better then Verizon can do!
You should have no problems, if you sync to Verizon as mastre said or Google (make sure under Accounts->Google that everything shows it has recently synced though). Using Google alone it will bring back almost everything including Apps you have installed. There are also apps in the Play Store such as Smart Switch (if going to Samsung) that will use NFC to transfer at your selection the important stuff on your phone including music, texts, logs, etc. Other companies have similar apps for their phones as well you just have to search for them.
