Dropped Calls at home

My SO and I recently upgraded our phones. I have noticed that ever since switching from my iPhone 4s to an iPhone 6 that I can no longer make and receive calls from inside my home. Previously the only location that I would have occasional issues was in my basement. Now I have to go outside my home to make and receive calls, and even there I have sporadic luck finding a place to stand to talk.

Is there anything that can be done to rectify this? Is the reception/antenna of the newest iPhone less reliable than the 4s? Any help would be appreciated.

Achrilon, we definitely want to make sure you and your SO are both able to make and receive calls. These are all wonderful details you have provided us with. What zip code are you in? If you go to Settings>Cellular> LTE> Are Voice and Data enabled under LTE?

Our zip code is 52246, in Iowa City, IA. Only LTE data was enabled, but I switched it over to voice and data. I am having the same troubles even with this option turned on. My SO on her iPhone 5s does not seem to have the troubles that I am having with the iPhone 6.

I am still unable to make and receive calls inside my home on my new device.

I appreciate you trying that. let's get to the bottom of this. All looks good in that area. Are you only having issues with calls while inside your home? If you go outside are you able to make/receive calls okay?

If I stand outside on my front porch I can generally make and receive calls, however I would say I still drop 1 in 5 calls even outside of my house.
