Can I enable my IPhone to be a personal Hotspot and be able to use it to get internet access for my IPad. I just bought the IPad mini WiFi + Cellualar and they come pre-loaded with ATT, Sprint, TMobile.
Im sorry, maybe I wasnt clear. I dont need a private WiFi network as the IPad is WiFi enabled which I can pick up just about any place. I need to be able to connect to the Internet where WiFi is NOT available (say at the Beach) and connect my IPad via Bluetooth. Is that a capability that can be done. or No
Yes, you can use the hotspot from the phone on a More Everything plan to connect the iPad to the Internet so that when you are away from traditional WiFi your phone will be the WiFi for the iPad.
I DO NOT have a More Everything Plan, nor do I want to change my current plan. So will this work. Will I be able to Piggyback internet access via my IPhone enabling the Personal Hot Spot via Bluetooth. I just want to make sure that I will have internet access when away from my home WiFi set up or any establishment that has WiFi available. I dont want to pay for something that will not work and will only work if I change my plan
Hi Verizon, please advise on the below comments. Need to make sure as I do not have a More Everything Plan
If you do not have More Everything, you do not have hotspot. Your device will not provision. You will not be able to hotspot.
Thank you

Can't you add hotspot to some older plans for $30 monthly charge? At that rate though, it is probably cheaper to just get a separate as needed data plan for the iPad.
Do you have unlimited plan that you do not want to change to More Everything? If you don't have unlimited data plan, in some cases More Everything can be cheaper and a better deal. How much data do you have and how much do you pay now? If your phone is out of contract you do get a $15 or $25 monthly reduction in the price of More Everything, so keep that in mind.
You can pay for the hotspot feature on your phone even if you don't have a More Everything plan. If you have an unlimited data plan you can add hotspot for $29. Not sure if the price is the same for other older plans but I suspect you may have an unlimited data plan since you're not interested in changing your plan.
To continue to pay for Unlimited AND pay for Hotspot at $30 a month for very little data, one would have to place the importance on either the access to and cost of data to using more sparingly and saving more on More Everything.
Yes you are right. I have an unlimited data plan and not interested in changing this plan. The bad part about this is if I want to upgrade to a newer IPhone I must pay Full Price for that Phone. The IPad comes preloaded with ATT, Sprint and TMobile which I really wasnt interested in getting cellular for a Data Package for my IPad. So thats why I inquired about the IPhone becoming a Personal HotSpot. I do have to pay a charge $20.00 for 2GB and was told that that will not change my current plan as I am activating a Feature. Well I guess I'll go for it. Thank you all for your input.
