Is better to use my cantenna WiFi or data when using my android tablet and phone?

We want you to be able to use your data, but still stay within your allowance. Is your cantenna on the same family plan with your tablet & phone? If so, then they will be drawing from the same data allowance, so there really should be no difference which device you are using to access the web.

I guess I need to clarify further. In our home we have 3 smart phones, 3 laptops, 3 tablets. All are on our family plan.We live in the country and have a cantenna. Should we be using the WiFi more than the data or does it make a difference? On our phones and tablets we don't have to connect to the WiFi but our laptops we do. Is it better to keep the WiFi on when using the tablets and phones? It seems no matter what we use occasionally we need to increase our data so we don't go over.

I definitely get your concern regarding this. We have a great tool that can help shed some light on what you can experience, data-wise, on your plan. www.vzw.com/datacalculator This data calculator can be customized to your particular situtaion. You will see that wether you are using cellular data on your devices or use the wifi cantennae data, it will be the same amount of usage. This may also help for you to see what may be the cause of the occasional increase in data usage.
I have two lap tops, two tablets, and two smart phones, all connected to wifi first while at home. The only time I use data if I am away from home and I use very little. You should be able to connect all your devices to your wifi network and use them all at the same time if you have enough bandwidth on your wifi setup. If you don't have the necessary bandwidth you should be able to upgrade through you internet provider. Either way if you have to choose between increasing your data plan or internet service, the latter will be cheaper.
