do pictures sent to Eris have to be a specific size?

 By size , I mean, physical size, not pixel size.

 

 I would like to know if I need to resize my pictures and other images before i transfer them to my Eris.

And to what size. Since the home screen is 620x480, I'm guessing any pictures larger than that

would be cropped out? is this correct? (I haven't tried it).

Usually if pictures are sent from another phone to a new one, the new phone will resize the pictures automatically to fit the phone. Every phone that I have had that is compatible to the Android Eris has resized all the pictures automatically and it also goes for if someone sends you pictures to the Eris.
