I hate the new updates. I didn't know it would be such a huge change and I want to know how to uninstall them.
There is no really safe way for the consumer to rollback changes. Some say that if you have a Samsung you can go to Best Buy and a tech can attempt to rollback or properly install an upgrade. Mostly though, the process voids the warranty.
Vrizon has a way with ruining our user experiences. They seem tothink it is OK or good to shove these updates down our throats. They are not always for the benefit of the users either. They want to tell us how we use them so they can charge us more for services. They are in the business of making money.
I am of the mindset that this device that I paid for outright should be mine to control. Not any carrier. They belive all should be the same for every one. One size fits all, one way of learning, so on and so forth. They think that if I control my device and the data on it and it is different, that my user experience will be hampered. But the fact is, if I am changing, removing and adding things to my liking. I take responsibility for this. Not them. I do not live my life the way others belive I should. But, I also do not infringe on anyone else's via my doings.
Sorry for the rant. Back on track. Point here is, do not accept any future updates on your devices. If you can not stop them from auto loading. Well, there are forums out there that are vastly more helpful than here. Though, you will have to search for them.

What is "fun" to the Verizon developers is not necessarily "fun" to the end user.

I thought it was just a security update so I accepted it. If I'd known it was going to change the look and "fix" things that weren't broken I would never have accepted the update. There are many things I don't like about the change--it's a lot of little things such as setting the alarm. It used to show the current time and now it just defaults to 6:00 a.m. If I want the alarm to go off in an hour it's two steps instead of one. Why set a default? And the phone settings are in a different spot than before. I find it to be less user friendly and more steps to do things that previously were simple.
Which phone do you have?
