Yea what i was thinking as well, I can still remember when Verizon released back in the Day the R 2 D 2 phone was that ever a phone one of my cousins had that phone I got to use it on a couple occasions but the time he had as it was brief as it was Damage..
I had the standard issue Droid 2. It was my first Verizon smartphone. I stated with Alltel's BB Curve 8330, then after the buyout I tried the ATT HTC Aria Android, and given the service was having some growing pains with the change over I hopped on Verizon with the D2. Rest is history.
I too had the Curve on Alltel my only issue was the Rolling Ball and finding more of them once I found a source, I bought enough to were I could use the phone up-n-till I bought my Droid X
