I am not worried at all. Affected 10K users in a chinese app market. I would be worried if I used 3rd party app stores, or installed apps from unverified sources. Google probably already knows about this and actively scans the Play Store for things like this. Cause a little FUD and get people to install your product is what AVG is trying to do.
I don't feel threaten by apps I download as long as it is a verified provider and I have checked it myself. But at the same time I can't help but think of Microsoft, Adobe, Norton's and others that have let malware get passed their sweeps and testing. But in the end I'll still use apps. thanks Tidbits
