Cancelling Account after contract, porting number without paying an extra month?

We have a Family share contract with 2 phones and our contract is about to expire.

Billing cycle date: 20th of the month

Contract Expires on July 24th.

We want to stop our service (without ETF) and transfer our numbers to a different providers.

Can we do it this way:

1. Cancel our service on June 21st (since we paid what was due by June 20th)

2. Transfer our numbers right after cancelling.

Note: we want to transfer asap, even if it means paying for the last month and not using it, but without paying more than our contract period.

Or will we have to pay an extra month because our contract ends on July 24th (4 day after the billing cycle)?

Another question relating to billing, our current bill, due on June 20th, says "Apr- 26 - May 25". So does it mean it's to pay for the previous month ?

The CSR I talked to in Chat said that the bill due on June 20th would be our last bill under contract.. was he mistaken ?

In regards to your account, the bill due date is separate from the billing cycle date. From the information you have provided, your billing cycle date appears to end on the 25th of each month. Your bill due date is the 20th. You will need to pay for the bill that has the cycle May 26 through June 25.

First if you cancel before June 24th you'll pay an ETF. Bill due date is the day the bill is due before being late. Billing cycle is time period the bill covers. So the bill due on June 20th only covers up until May 25h. You'' have to pay a bill that covers May 26th through June 25th.

Also no matter when you cancel you are billed for the entire billing period. Sine the difference is one day in you case that shouldn't be a big deal. Cancel on June 24th or just to be safe on June 35th. You'll still have a bill due by July 20th for that month.
