Has anyone with leaked 2.1v3 received the OTA update yet?

I know of many people with the version 2.1v3 leaked update and yet none of them at all have received the OTA official update, even though @vzwsupport is repeatedly saying that "yes, ALL eris owners regardless of Android version (1.5 or 2.1 leaks v1-3) will receive the OTA update....just curious...

Ok, despite the fact that vzwsupport twitter feed states that all users including those with the leaks (v1,2,3), unless someone hacks and resigns(officially) the update-script to tell it not to check for the 1.5 OS, leakers will not recieve the update. You can talk to tech support and they will show that your device has been sent the OTA update, but...seeing how your device doesn't have the 1.5 OS, the update is just kind of there in a limbo state. I am on the 2.1 v3 leak and I'm hoping that if VZW puts this update on PCDPhones.com as an RUU like they did the last 2 updates, that it will somehow bypass/ignore the leaked 2.1 and install the update.

If you're already on the v3 leak, it's unlikely that you'll even be able to push the official update to the phone. ALL identifying numbers for the software version match between the v3 and the OTA. As far as your phone knows, you've already got the latest greatest.

I'm not sure what 2.1v3's official software number is, but I have 2.26 and Verizon is supposedly releasing 2.36, does this mean I have v2? Either way, I have yet to receive the update OTA. Why would it think I'm already up to date if I only have 2.26 and they're sending out 2.36?

Read through the forum posts from all those satisfied OTA-Update-Receivers. Then consider yourself lucky that you took the leak instead. My wife's and daughter's phones have not had any of the symptoms described by the the OTA folks. Sorry, but the facts are the facts, folks.

FWIW, I know for a fact that all these problems are not confined to people who received the OTA. People with the V3 leak are having the exact same problems. Based on all the software numbers, build numbers, kernel numbers, etc, the OTA and the V3 leak are exactly the same. It's just a crapshoot from one phone to another who has problems and who doesn't.

I waited patiently for the the OTA update and never received. So I installed the 2.1v3 leak. Since then, I've had similar problems that others with the OTA update have. Freezing screens, 1 bar of signal when I used to have full strength, etc. I'm not sure if there's a fix for any of this because I'm running a leak, but seems like the official update isn't any better...

I agree with a lot of the ones here....I think the v3 leak is pretty good....I am not having many of the issues noted by the OTA people or even the others that have the leak....I do only get 1 bar on the notification icon inside and 2-3 outside...but the quality of the call both on my end on the one i am talking to doesn't seem to be bad...maybe just a bad signal to the icon? So maybe it is a good thing that I haven't yet received the OTA update....
