HTC One M8 goes into dock mode and keeps reloading pages at random

For about 2 days now my HTC One M8 has been showing the dock mode icon on the top at random, and reloading my screen in all apps at random (kicking me back to the top of the page). I tried disabling dock mode, but I can't even find it in my apps (through the settings). Putting my phone into safe mode does nothing to prevent these things from happening, either. And yes, I've ran virus software, use original charger, have rebooted, not installed new apps, etc. Since it's happening in safe mode, too, I think it is a flaw with the phone itself.

I know how frustrating it can be when you experience difficulties with your device Spinne2. Let's get to the bottom of your equipment concerns. When did start experiencing issues with the device going into dock mode? Do pages keep reloading at random only when devices go into dock mode? Is there any damage or corrosion to the charging port or the device?

I had this happen to me to me today. Suggestions posted on multiple forums didn't work. One of the recent app updates I had made was HTC Dot View. I don't even use that, so I uninstalled all updates to that, opened the app, then unchecked the "Turn on HTC Dot View" checkbox. That seems to have worked for me.

In the words of Emily Litella, nevermind. The problem reappeared as soon as I plugged the phone into my PC's USB port.

4slices - Let's wipe out that problem. On your computer screen do you see a menu with options for you to select when you connect your device? After you unplugged the device from the USB does the dock mode still show up on your phone? I would also recommend powering your device Off then take out the SIM card for about 10 seconds. Place the SIM card back in and power device On. Please let us know if this resolved the issue.
